City Accounting and Tax opened for business in 1977 in Goodwater, Alabama. We were and still remain the only full service Accounting Frim in Goodwater.

In the begining it was me and my eldest daughter Freida.  Then some years later my younger daughter, Susan joined us.  Although we service the immediate area, a large number of our clients come from surrounding counties.

My actual passion for accounting and bookkeeping began as a young girl, when my father, Mort Saxon, was in the Sawmill/Lumber business and I worked there in my first bookkeeping job.  I attended Birmingham School of Business and worked in the private sector for nineteen years before transitioning into the public sector to remain.   In addition to working at my firm,  I spent a 10 year stint as the City Clerk for the City of Goodwater.

I love what I do and love making things work for my clients.  Although it is taxing (pun intended) during the tax season, the rewards greatly outweigh the pain.
